that you need to jot down the speech and just remember to keep it short and sweet (put yourself in listener's position). Let the speech start with a small intro as how you are related to the newly wed groom or bride. If you happen to be the Best Man or Maid of Honor, extend thanks to the bride, groom and their respective parents.

If you have been associated with bride or groom or both, narrate a funny anecdote involving them. However, keep a watch on obscenity.
